LUBICA DIGITAL DETOX

Three days to disconnect from the screen and reconnect with reality

 8–10 October 2025 | Lucca – MOC, Metropolis Officine Creative - Via Barbantini 47

In an age dominated by constant digital stimuli, Lubica Digital Detox was created as a cultural and poetic act of resistance to noise, an invitation to rediscover the value of silence, slowness and direct experience. From Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 October 2025, in the spaces of the MOC – Metropolis Officine Creative, Lucca Biennale Cartasia offers three days of exhibitions, workshops and sensory practices to reconnect with oneself, others and matter.

Every day, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., visitors can view the exhibition “Lubica: history, works, future”, an immersive journey through the most iconic moments of the twelve previous editions of the Biennale, with photographs, installations, videos and artists' stories. An opportunity to discover how paper, a material that is both humble and noble, has given shape to artistic visions from all over the world.

Alongside the exhibition, every evening there will be three experiential events to re-educate the presence, the body and the gaze:

On Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 October, from 8.30pm to 10.30 pm,

there will be paper art workshops, a return to manual skills and materials, as a form of creative meditation, inspired by the techniques of ephemeral sculpture.

On Thursday, 9 October, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.,

the public can participate in a deep listening workshop, a mindful walk accompanied by sensory stimulation, haiku writing and the contemplation of fine Japanese papers.

Friday, October 10, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM,

the cycle concludes with the workshop “Tango and the Body”, an immersive experience where dance and non-verbal connection become tools for rediscovering relationships and intimacy through movement.
